Community in the Spotlight – Lake Goodwin
Lake Goodwin is located northwest of Marysville and is part of the Seven Lakes region. Lake Goodwin is a beautiful body of water covering 535 acres which includes 5.4 miles of shoreline.
Lake Goodwin in one of the premier water sports lakes in the Puget Sound region. It’s a wonderful lake to water ski, tube and swim. In mid-summer the lake can warm to more than 75 degrees. The lake is stocked with fish and I have heard that it is a good fishing spot. There is public access to the lake on the north shore at Lake Goodwin Community Park.
Wenberg State Park is located on the east side of Lake Goodwin. The park is a 46 acre camping park with lake access.
The Lake Goodwin Community Club offers the perfect place for special events and community events. Some of it’s amenities include a kitchen, dance floor, raised stage and plenty of room for a large event.
Lake Goodwin Community Park is a beloved community park. They recently experienced an arson on their beautiful playground. The community and Snohomish County are working to rebuid the playground. They are having a fundraising event today, Sunday August 22nd from 5-7 pm. Sponsors include Haggen Foods, QFC , Lake Goodwin Community Center, Silvana Meats and more. There is still time to plan to attend and help rebuild the playground.
Lake Goodwin is a wonderful place to call home. Many of the homes enjoy lake frontage or lake views. With easy access to major cities for shopping and services, it is a place to consider if a move is in your future.
